Who are we?

Boatkits is part of Boatplans ApS, which is dedicated to designing, constructing and building dinghies and boats for ordinary people. We sell boat building kits to private persons, schools, scouts and other organizations throughout Europe.

We also have a shop attached where you can buy various selected products for boat building. Here you can buy boat building epoxy, fiberglass, engines, veins and various other relevant products. The products are suitable in case you would like to build your own boat. You can check our selection of products on our website at www.BoatkitSHOP.com.

Besides selling Boat kits, we also sell construction drawings for builders worldwide through our other site at www.boatplans.dk.

The kits we have chosen to present here are just a small sample of the boats we have designed. We could provide you kits of any of the other models, so if you would like a construction kit for a boat that is not listed on our website, please feel free to contact us for getting a deal at an adapted construction kit.

You will meet the following dedicated staff at Boatkits:

Morten Olesen is an educated boat builder and naval architect, and has many years of experience in design, engineering and construction of small vessels. Morten is the chief executive of the company and helped get starting it back in 2003.

Connie Enghoff has a degree in engineering design and has experience with mechanical design and construction. She is a keen sailor and loves adventures on the water. Connie has been with the company since 2008 and is technically responsible.

Kris Stemann has a degree in engineering and business. He has experience in manufacturing and production. Kris is an angling enthusiast and loves throwing the line from both beach and boat. He has been with the company since 2011 and is responsible for the production.

Emina Cehajic is our consultant and has a degree in languages and commerce. She has several years of experience with correspondence, and is working her dream profession. Emina is with the company since 2013 and is responsible for the correspondence.

Shall we build your new boat for you?

We are often asked if we are able to deliver finished boats - of course we can!

We do not mass produce. Therefore we have to mention that unfortunately, you can’t expect that we are able to match the prices of the East-European mass- produced boats.

What we can do, is to build a unique vessel for you to your exact requirements, and if you would like to take part in the construction of you dreamboat, you may. The end result is a boat that is guaranteed to attract attention, when you get on the water.

Do you experience difficulty finding the boat you really would like?

If you cannot find your dream boat in our selection, you are more than welcome to contact us.

You might have made some sketches that are showing how you would like your new boat to look or perhaps you have a model that just has to be changed slightly. If so, please send us an email, and then we are sure we are able to build you a boat that fulfils your dreams.
